Verde, Naranja y Flor: A Sensory Experience for Children
“Verde, Naranja y Flor” is an interactive stage experience that invites children, especially those with disabilities and within the autism spectrum, to immerse themselves in a world inspired by dance and nature. This innovative show has been designed and curated with special attention to the sensory and emotional needs of children by interdisciplinary artist Karen Bencomo, creating a space where they can explore, interact, and actively enjoy.
The proposal revolves around an installation of seven trees that not only function as visual elements but also allow for direct and playful interaction. Children, along with their companions, will be able to touch, move, and play around the trees, connecting with the essence of the natural environment through their own bodies. This aspect of active participation offers them the opportunity to be an integral part of the performance, creating a sensory exploration environment where young viewers are, at the same time, protagonists of the story.
What sets “Verde, Naranja y Flor” apart is its inclusive and accessible approach. The show has been created to ensure that children with physical, sensory disabilities, or within the autism spectrum can fully enjoy it. The piece incorporates elements of sound, texture, and gentle movement that respect different levels of sensitivity, ensuring that all children can experience it at their own pace.
This event seeks not only to entertain but also to raise awareness and introduce families to new forms of artistic expression. “Green, Orange, and Flower” is a space where imagination, nature, and art intertwine, offering a unique and memorable experience for children and their families.
