About HAPAA
Culture, community and art that represents us
HAPAA — Hispanic Alliance for Performing and Audiovisual Arts and Carol Theater — is the heart of Spanish-language theater in Houston. We are a space where Latinx stories come to life. We create plays, workshops, festivals, and experiences that celebrate our identity, empower our community, and enrich the city’s cultural landscape.

WHAT DO WE DO IN HAPAA?
Hispanic Alliance for Performing and Audiovisual Arts (HAPAA) is committed to offering education, and training in the wide range of skills required for the development of artists in the performing and audiovisual arts; guiding them towards the self-organization, production and distribution of their creations, as well as encouraging them towards the investigation and implementation of new techniques and means of distribution of their artistic proposals.
