THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES / By Eve Ensler
Synopsis:
The Vagina Monologues is a play written by Eve Ensler. It consists of a series of monologues based on interviews conducted by the author with over 200 women, addressing topics related to sexuality, identity, gender-based violence, and women’s personal experiences. The play is widely known for its bold and provocative approach, which seeks to break taboos and spark conversation on issues that are often ignored or silenced.
At HAPAA, we are proud to now present this magnificent play, brought to life by an excellent cast of local artists who represent the diversity and beauty of our Latin American culture: from Venezuela, Aura Pereira; from Guatemala, Kimberly Cutz; and from Peru, Azul Lora. They will make us laugh and cry with their superb performances, and most importantly, invite us to reflect with this powerful production.
