Requirements:
- Age: Over 18 years old
- Bilingualism in English and Spanish is an advantage but not required.
- Have an interest in and availability to participate in a family-friendly theater production.
- All experience levels are welcome.
- Possess skills or an interest in acting, singing, and dancing.
- Reside in Houston or be available to attend rehearsals and performances in person in Houston, Texas.
Include a résumé, a headshot, and a full-body photo.
HAPAA—Hispanic Alliance for Performing and Audiovisual Arts—opens its casting call for Calixto’s Tale, a new family theater production that will be presented in Houston in December 2026, as part of our Freedom250 programming in honor of the nation’s semiquincentennial in 2026.
We are looking for people over 18 years of age interested in being part of a production that integrates acting, singing, dancing and theatrical narration.
The call is open to people of any gender, identity, appearance, cultural profile or level of experience. We invite both professional artists and emerging people who wish to share their talent and grow within a theatrical creation process to participate.
CAMA PARA TRES
Get ready for a comedy overflowing with humor, unexpected situations, and a romantic tangle that will have you laughing non-stop. CAMA PARA TR3S is a fresh and daring story.

Carmen doesn’t have just one problem… she has two! Grappling with a split personality that is driving her crazy, she finds herself in love with two completely opposite men. Her conservative, demure side sighs for a passionate, fiery Mexican alpha male, while her extroverted, seductive side falls head over heels for a young puritan with rigid morals. How can she possibly choose between two such different worlds?
Desperate, Carmen turns to her best friend, Ruly, for help; but his advice—rather than solving the dilemma—unleashes a whirlwind of confusion, awkward encounters, and tangled messes that will put the patience (and sanity) of everyone involved to the ultimate test.
Summer Theater Camp: Creative Expression and Acting for Children

A bilingual arts camp where children will develop creativity, confidence, verbal expression, teamwork, and performance skills through theater, play, and imagination.
