Between Fear and Desire is a raw, provocative, and profoundly human theatrical experience that integrates the plays Eve vs. Lilith, by Lorena Illoldi, and Adam vs. Asmodeus, by Miguel Ángel Cedano, into a single, high-impact stage production.
Through ensemble scenes, biting humor, and moments of brutal honesty, the play confronts the inherited fears that affect men and women: the fear of the body, of desire, of sexuality, of love, of motherhood, of imposed masculinity, and of loneliness.
Lilith and Eve, Adam and Asmodeus cease to be mythical figures and become living archetypes that inhabit our relationships, families, intimacy, and everyday violence.
Far from presenting a simple confrontation between genders, the play exposes how social roles, cultural expectations, and learned fear shape the way we love, desire, and survive emotionally.
An uncomfortable, honest, and necessary production that invites the viewer to look in the mirror and ask themselves:
How much of who we are is our own choice, and how much is inherited fear?
